The Surfactant Producers Group (SPG) is a forum for members manufacturing organic surfactants and their intermediates. Ad hoc SPG members’ meetings provide opportunities for members to discuss UK and EU regulatory developments and issues relevant to their activities as well as issues affecting the chemical industry in general.
Whilst contacts in the UK enable us to influence legislation here, our membership of the Cefic sector group CESIO, which represents the European surfactants industry, provides information and influence at the European level. SPG membership is by a subscription which is in addition to the BCA membership subscription.
Since BCA is the UK National Association linked to CESIO (Surfactants Europe), BCA is the best way for a UK surfactant producer to access the work being done at the EU level.
