The Personal Care Group (PCG) is a forum for member companies supplying ingredients to the personal care and cosmetics industry. PCG members’ meetings held three time a year provide opportunities for members to discuss UK and EU regulatory developments and issues relevant to the sector as well as issues affecting the chemical industry in general.
Whilst contacts in the UK enable us to influence legislation here, our membership of EFfCI, the European Federation for Cosmetic Ingredients, with a seat on its Board, provides information and influence at the European level. Membership of EFfCI also allows PCG members to participate in all its activities and the work of its interest groups. PCG membership is by a subscription which is in addition to the BCA membership subscription.
The PCG also runs seminars jointly with the Society of Cosmetic Scientists (SCS) and Cosmetic Cluster UK (CCUK), typically once a year, for companies with an interest in the sector. The themes of seminars are wide-ranging, often focusing on topical issues and aspects of sustainability. Seminars are open to all BCA, SCS and CCUK members and non-members.
Details of any upcoming seminars may be found in Events - BCA seminars.
This is such a diverse group, from large ingredient suppliers, through formulators to service providers. We get great information via the European association, EFfCI, and have a chance to look at issues from a range of perspectives. We always have lively discussions on all topics!!
